In these uncertain times, it is more important than ever to ensure robust health and resilience for yourself and loved ones. Acquiring the knowledge and skills of wild foraging is an effective strategy to optimize health and self-sufficiency in order to weather a crisis with fortitude and grace. One way in which to expand and elevate your current level of self-reliance and well-being is to learn about the abundance of nourishment and medicine available to you in the form of wild weeds.
In this four-part series in the field, you will learn:
How to skillfully and accurately identify plants
The medicinal and edible properties of local plants
Wild Harvesting techniques and ethics
How best to prepare those encountered for optimum therapeutic and nutritional benefits
Dates:
Every other Thursday, starting June 4th, from 3:00-5:30pm:
June 4th & 16th; July 2nd and 16th.
Participants must be committed to:
Purchasing one book and an eye loupe prior to the first class (details given upon registration)
Spend a minimum of five hours in-between class meeting times to practice skills learned in the previous class
Attend the entirety of all four classes
