Coal Creek Trail Edible & Medicinal Plant Walk

Join longtime Herbalist and local plant aficionado, Cat Pantaleo, for a fun and informative walk just south of downtown Lafayette, and meet the abundance of local plant allies that you see every day! We will greet, nibble, and discuss the edible and medicinal properties of those we encounter. Cat will also point out those plants that can be used for first aid, those that are potentially toxic, and offer tips on identification.

PLEASE NOTE :

Class size will limited to adhere to public safety guidelines such as social distancing.

Kids 12 and up welcome and pay full price.  Young children not recommended as their limited attention span will inhibit accompanying adult from fully engaging and possibly disrupt the group.

The walk will be from 9:00am-10:30am. The meeting spot is at the Public Rd Trailhead in Lafayette right along the Coal Creek Trail (1881 S Public Rd, Lafayette). Details and map here

There is limited parking at the trailhead so we encourage you to bike if possible. Please be sure to bring water, sunscreen and a hat as it will most likely be hot.  If you like to take notes, bring paper and pen.
