Cucharas River Valley Herbal Immersion

Honorable Harvest of New Mexican Locust (Robinia neomexicana) blossoms

Discover and explore one of the most spectacular areas in the Southern Colorado Rocky Mountains. The majestic 13,000’ volcanic Spanish Peaks and stunning geologic wonders called ‘Dikes’ create a dramatic backdrop to what is sure to be an exquisite and inspiring excursion.

This three day immersive experience is an opportunity to:

  • Reawaken and deepen your connection to the earth through mindfulness practices.

  • Meet an abundance of therapeutic and edible plants in a variety of ecosystems.

  • Learn and practice foundational plant identification skills.

  • Learn and practice the art of Honorable Wild Harvesting and create delicious herbal remedies in the field.

Quality time will be spent in a diverse array of ecosystems ~ from mountain meadows and riparian areas to subalpine forests and old growth aspen groves.  We will meet the flora and fauna that live in each unique habitat, learn about plant family patterns, and each day make one botanical remedy to take home. Time in community will be balanced with guided solo time in order to provide opportunities for deep nourishment and restoration.
